Get Involved with WAO

WAO invites members to Get Involved in the Academy. Let us know which of the following you would like to volunteer to help by noting emailing us below. A member of the Board will follow-up with interested members.

Education and Training

Join a team of colleagues to review evaluations and member feedback to develop the Academy's education calendar. Members will recommend topics and speakers for both the annual EyeMD Symposium and webinar series.

Key Contact

The Academy's advocacy plans depend on both a strong PAC and grass roots advocacy. Key contacts help reach out to their state and federal elected officials with the goal of having at least one key contact identified in every legislative district in the state.

YO Program

Young Ophthalmologists are invited to help plan the Academy's YO events and programs. Join the YO Program and help us plan events, services and share news and information to help increase the Academy's value and support of our state's Young Ophthalmologists.

Board of Directors

Nominate yourself or a colleague to serve on the board. Members provide their time, experience and thought leadership to advance ophthalmology practice in Wisconsin through advocacy, education and information sharing.
